An exciting tour from Fortaleza (Ceará's capital) to São Luís (Maranhão's capital) covering hundred of km in comfortable 4x4 cars and motor boats, by Eco Adventure Tours.

This marvellous tour is made in both directions: as an option, you can start it from São Luís too.


Departure from Fortaleza
Our tour begin at Fortaleza, the charming Ceará State's capital. The next step will be Jericoacoara, one of Brazil's most beautiful beaches. [More on Jericoacoara]

In 4x4 to Jericoacoara
To reach this paradise, one of the most exciting experience, we will go there by comfortable, air conditioning 4x4 alongside Ceará's West Coast beaches. In Jericoacoara, our hotel or pousada is awaiting for us. Wonderful beaches, dunes (40 m high) and Blue Lagoon are Jeri's main attractions. The forró, dancing and caipirinha may be an excellent option to begin with.

Delta do Parnaíba
The next big step, the discovering of the Delta do Parnaiba River, will take place in the State of Piauí. This fantastic delta (Western's biggest one) is made by five "fingers". We will discover this fabulous ecossystem in boats or motor boats according to the case. Take a look at the picture on the right to overview it!

Lençóis maranhenses
Here we are at the summit of this extraordinary Big Adventure: the dunes and the lagoons disappear at the horizon... Desert beaches, walking in this fantastic landscape will be a unforgettable experience! Honeymoon travellers will appreciate these enchanting moments. Alone, in the white dunes and the blue or green lagoons.

São Luís
Now, place to the culture, the colonial architecture and folklore. So is São Luís, the capital of the State of Maranhão. This city is a Cultural Patrimony of Humanity (by UNESCO). Old houses covered by azulejos will charm you. It is in this romantic and sympathic city that our Big Adventure will end...
