Top Beaches
Without
all the fame of its decane Copacabana, Ipanema
Beach, in the borough with the same name, in a very short time
became as well known as its older sister, and nowadays is the prefered
beach of cariocas who are in and of tourists too.
Well
known all over the world, Copacabana beach is, automatically, the
very first beach that all foreign visitors go to see. Surely, actually,
it is mainly to visit one of the city's post cards, because in the week-ends
and on holidays the beach is very crowded.
Jericoacoara,
in Ceara's West Coast, is said to be one of Brazil's most beautiful beaches,
as the American newspaper Washington Post published (March, 15, 1987).

of the Discovery Coast of Bahia, Porto Seguro and its neighbouring
beaches have always been the prefered ones of those who love Brazil's
beautiful beaches, specially during the Carnival.
The
Genipabu beach, in the Natal's neighbourhood, in Rio Grande do
Norte State, is one of the most prefered for lovers of good beaches: dunes
and lagoons complete the landscape.
Porto
de Galinhas and its natural swiming pools has become in a few years
one of the most cheerful beaches of Pernambuco State. It is veary
easy to get there because the beach is not far away from Recife.
The
so called Beach of the Frenchman, Praia do Francês,
in Maceió, the capital of Alagoas State (AL) attracts
many visitors. The lagoons of Maceió and those along the
seaside are also some reasons for that preference.
