To begin with, Florianópolis beaches are well known for their quality, sun, good accommodation, restaurants and night during most of the year. The are almost a hundred beaches. Some very popular, crowded during holiday and weekends. Other more quiet, wild, and fantastic! The Santa Catarina island is a urban paradise for sea sports (surf, windsurf, sailing) and its cheerful night makes Florianópolis the Magic Island.

The State of Rio Grande do Sul

Brazil's Southern State of Rio Grande do Sul has a few beaches to mention. Above all, there is the Praia de Torres (Torres Beach), in the north of the State. This beach is even a Post Card of the Rio Grande do Sul for it is well known because of it cliffs.
However, these beaches are less visited by foreigners.
