History

Porto Seguro is a historical city as it was in this place that the Portuguese Navigators arrived at this territory's coast for the first time in the XVIth century.

Surf lovers will be glad to practice this sport at the Mucugê Beach and divers will be comfortable enough at the Ponta Grande Beach natural swimming pools. For fishing adepts, the Taperapuan Beach is a good option.

Carnival is the best time to discover Porto Seguro. But, you have to make all your reservations well in advance.

The sea water, as in other Nordeste States, is a delight: lukewarm and blue or light green. And the white fine sands is another must. In addition, the local cooking (lobster, shrimps and many other delightful menus) will count as well and make visitors feel happy.
