> Natal

Brazil's Northeastern region charms all visitors. Brazilian as well as Foreigners. Sunny beaches, white and fine sands, beautiful landscapes very good cooking (lobster and crustaceous)

From the Praia do Sagi (Sagi Beach) near the State of Paraiba, in the southern coast to the Praia das Manuelas (Manuelas Beach), near the State of Ceará and Tibau Beach, there are fantastic dunes, red and ocre cliffs and very nice beaches to discover.

Natal. Via Costeira beachHowever, the visitor need not travel kilometers to start enjoying Natal's most important attraction, that is to say, its beaches. From the Praia do Forte (Fort Beach) to Areia Preta and Via Costeira beaches, you will surely find that good beach.

By the way, at Via Costeira (The Coastal Way) we find some of Natal's best hotels. If we go southwards Via Costeira, we reach Natal's most animated beach: Ponta Negra (in english: Black Point).
More on Ponta Negra below

> Ponta Negra

Ponta negra, NatalThe Ponta Negra Beach, has becoma Natal's most interesting beach not only because of its charming white dune covered by native vegetation, the so called Morro do Careca (the Bald Hill, picture on the right)

Ponta Negra's success come mainly from its good animated bars, restaurants and hotels. There is no doubt that its good and quiet beach and the refreshing breeze from the turquoise sea are surely good points to Ponta Negra. It is even a little hard to decide where to stay: downtown Natal or Ponta Negra? If you stay at Ponta Negra, it will be a little easier to go to the excursions to the southern coast.

Staying at the Via Costeira is an intermediary choice...

Rio Grande do Norte

> The South Coast

In any way, it will certainly happens to you to feel like going to discover Natal's south beaches and Rio Grande do Norte southern coast: Pirangi, Pipa, Baía Formosa and many other nice places to go.

These are litteraly fantastic beaches to discover. In our point of view, the beaches near Baía Formosa are really wonderful. And, mainly, if we stay there to eat good fresh lobster! Enjoy it!
