> North-eastern Region
The Brazil's
Northeastern region is the land of jangadas (rafts),
dunes, coconut trees and beautiful beaches with lukewarm green, azure
or turquoise waters
Land
of Sugar, Leather, faith or fanatism, History and simple cooking but delicious
one.
The sertão, the hinterland, threatens always its inhabitants
with its cruel drought. Land of folklore and culture, Brazil's Northeastern
region is also the land of forró, the mulheres rendeiras (laceworkwomen),
the famous Lampião, the cheerful and popular St John festivities
and of one of Brazil's most popular and animated carnival.
> To Start Discovering Nordeste
Nordeste's
handicraft
Regional handicraft is one of Brazil richest: hammocks, laceworks, pottery
and carrancas, among other nice pieces, are almost symbols of this region.
However, its climate at the seaside is its major trump card. You
can check by yourself. It is one of South America's most beautiful coast.
Discovering
the land of jangadas and lacemaker women
Brazil's most beautiful beaches strech out for thousands of
kilometers.
From the Costa do Descobrimento (Discovering Coast) in Bahia (BA)
to the boundings of Amazon landscapes (MA). If you like almost desert
beaches, in the top of the crest, coconuts trees, fruits-de-mer, caïpirinha
and, mainly, popular festivities, such as carnival and St John's, then the Nordeste is your destination.
You can trust us and give us your opinion later!
